OMG, I Need To Start Writing!

Have you ever wondered whether your writing is good enough for anyone to read? Or whether you are ready to even start writing a book? I know it is not easy, I feel the same way all the time as a writer. For many reasons, all storytellers will find it challenging to transfer their stories onto paper. To make it easier for my clients, this is what I always share with them.

Remember to write for yourself and to be honest about it. At the end of the day, the story that you are carving out is a reflection of who you are and it is important to be authentic about it. You don't have to please the whole world in hopes that your book will be a best seller. At the end of the day, you are the ultimate fan for your own work. As long as you enjoy creating it and reading it at the same time, half the battle is won.

The book you are creating is also a way of documenting your past experiences. It can be used as a reference point to relive your old thoughts and hopefully share them with others. Who knows, the next generation may find it useful one day. So a book is a reference material that represents a time in your life. Isn't it important to start documenting it today?
